PulsePoint
PulsePoint is the app that connects trained volunteers to nearby cardiac emergencies. When a 911 call for possible cardiac arrest comes in near you, PulsePoint alerts you and shows the location of the nearest registered AED, so you can start CPR and retrieve a device before EMS arrives.
Step 1: Download the app.
Step 2: Get activated as a local responder. Downloading the app alone does not make you an alerted responder -- PulsePoint is only active where the local public safety agency has enrolled you. We're finalizing the exact enrollment step with The Villages Public Safety Department and will post it here as soon as it's confirmed -- in the meantime, contact us below and we'll help you get set up.
Heartsaver / CPR-AED Training
The Villages Public Safety Department provides Heartsaver CPR-AED training free of charge to volunteers. No prior medical background is required -- the course covers hands-on CPR and AED use.
Class dates and how to register will be posted here as soon as they're confirmed with Public Safety -- check back, or contact us and we'll let you know as soon as a session is scheduled.
Keeping Your Access Active
PulsePoint responder access is renewed on a recurring basis (approximately every six months). We'll post the exact renewal steps here once they're confirmed with Public Safety.
